“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the
care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

Thomas A. Edison

Activities by Oretachino NOTO are efforts to bring happiness to everyone - including those
who grow crops to become the future doctors that Edison had imagined, those who are
selling crops, those who prepares the crops in the kitchen, and those who eat them.

What Oretachino NOTO can provide as a grower
 (at the point of production)

Exchange meetings with innovative growers from both
within and outside of the prefecture.

Meetings with nursery companies and fertiliser companies
 regarding planting.

Inviting buyers to farm visits.

Carrying out harvesting experience as part of food
 education.

Exchange meetings with department stores, supermarkets,
 co-op stores, fruit/vegetable buyers.

We provide children with opportunities to come in touch with nature and harvest vegetables themselves and eating them too - such an activity may inspire children to take up farming in the future. Furthermore, we educate children the importance of diet, as well as growers’ passion towards vegetables, the appeal of vegetables, the appeal of the countryside, and the framework of farming and its crops.
